He is emotionally cheating with other women - and lying to them? What is that?

Please bare with me, it sound's like he has an ego problem, there is a more specific name for it but i do remember the ego part, for example, i owned a car at one time had i have held on to it it would have been a clic, this was my only car so i had to take care of it, a "person" i know told everybody it was a clic car that i showed, no, they were on the 8th grade football team, they were the mvp of the team, no, it's like who they are is not good enough for them, when you try to tell them they don't need to be anyone more then what they are they still have to have these little boosts of confidence.
