I really want to wear makeup, but my mother HATES it?

So I recently hinted to my mom that maybe possibly I want to start wearing makeup, such as eye liner (that is the major thing i want to wear) eye shadow, idk just regular stuff. She was like, MY DAUGHTER IS NOT GOING TO RUIN HER FACE WITH THAT CRAP! And I was like geez mom calm down fine! I have wanted to wear makeup for like 4 years but I have always just lived without, It is not a matter of i want attention or anything like that. I just like it. Idk just any advice?
