Question about Proposition 8 (California)!?

I am having a cl discussion tomorrow about proposition 8, in California. (the one that says marriage is between a man and women only) and i was wondering if it is true about he part that says if it doesn't p, then they will start teaching schools that the gay marriage is the same as between a man and women.
