What's a good recommendation for a graphic card?

At the moment I have a 9200 AGP. I'm looking for a Mainstream Graphic card with a minimum of 2.4 GHZ. Is this card good for playing .MKV videos? I'm in a dire need of one due to a constant flicker and an insynchronized video issue.
